Feminist AF: An Epic Visual Story of the Women’s March

The Future is FEMALE! I AM Woman, Hear me ROAR. What a powerful statement that women from all over the world made this week. It was crazy to see some of the images of the march that were in black and white. It literally felt like we were in a 1950's time capsule of sorts. I was saddened, but I also felt really inspired and empowered..and the signs, well they were nothing short of epic. Janelle Monae Gets Futuristic for Cosmopolitan Magazine

Hidden Figures star, Janelle Monae played Cosmopolitan Magazine's February issue! The photoshoot which took place at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex at NASA, Janelle took futuristic fashion to another level as she posed in metallic and other out-of-this world fabrics. She stated that, she hopes that people will look at the characters she is playing as the new super heros! The editorial is super dope and really makes us feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. It is quite true that women and girls of color are just a small population of the STEM industry and community and we hope to see an increase in interest beyond the excitement of the Hidden Figures movie.  ...

Jourdan Dunn for Madame Figaro

Our "Maybelline Melanin Queen," Jourdan Dunn covers Madame Figaro in everything from Dior, Gucci and Balmain to  Chloe, Hermes and many more. This British stunner and Victoria's Secret model was discovered at the age of 16 and within a year of making her runway debut, Jourdan became  the first Black model to walk a  Prada runway in over 10 years! She has topped the Forbes list, ringing in 4 million dollars in 2014 alone and not only did she win "Model of the Year" at the British Fashion Awards, but she covered British Vogue and became the first solo Black model to grace the cover in 12 years! Chanel Iman for Harper’s Bazaar Kazakhstan

Our fav supermodel, Chanel Iman slays the September issue of Harper's Bazaar Kazakhstan in everything from Miu Miu, Prada, Versace, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Chanel, and Alexander McQueen. This Korean/Black beauty was born in Atlanta and started modeling at the age of 12. She has since taken the industry by storm with credits that span from Vogue Magazine and Victoria Secret to Alexander McQueen, Valentino and many more. Most notably, (in Spring of 2009), Chanel was the first Black model in 8 years to walk for Gucci.
