Our favorite bad "gal" is at it again and this time she is taking over the sportswear world as Creative Director of Puma. Although she is not the first celebrity to provide creative direction for an apparel line, she is the only one considered a fashion icon by the CFDA. Her fashion influence is immeasurable. We will begin seeing the fruits of her labor in 2015 and beyond as this is a multi-year partnership focusing on leisure gear for women. Olivier Rousteing declared, "I'm French, I'm black, and I'm proud to be at Balmain, but this is a message of freedom and globalism," he said. The collection, said to be a mash-up of safari chic and hip-hop style and one that embraces different ethnicities and cultures, and is reflective of his latest campaign face and new friend, Rihanna. We love it! There were cargo jackets and pants, leopard spots and zebra stripes, leather latticed with silk cord and gold chain, oversize motorcycle jackets, and electric pops of red and yellow lamb's fur, all showed on one of the most diverse castings of the season. Rihanna in Naked Swarovski Dress at CFDA Event

Rihanna literally lit up the Lincoln Center as she appeared on the red carpet, "almost naked!" Yet, she so graciously accepted her CFDA Fashion Icon Award (Known as the Oscar of Fashion). Her sheer Adam Selman gown was adorned with 216,000 Swarovski crystals. The sparkling look includes gloves and a head piece that channels jazz-age dancer Josephine Baker. Vintage made new! Selman, who has designed pieces for RhiRhi since 2011 and co-designed her River Island capsule, debuted his collection at New York Fashion Week last Fall. Her look was further accessorized with a pink Pologeorgis fur stole, Manolo Blahnik heels, a ring and earrings by Paul Morelli, and a pinky ring by Jacob. Haute!!!...
