Malaika Firth is a Kenyan-born British fashion model who started modeling after her mother saw a TV special about her agency, Premier Model Management. You may have seen this doll in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show,  Burberry ads, the TopShop holiday campaign or taking selfies backstage with our uncle Karl Lagerfeld! In addition to her stunning beauty, she is known to be outspoken about racial issues within the industry and has strong opinions about money and fame. Welcome Aboard Fashionistas Chanel truly set the bar of what it takes to bring creativity to the runway.  This year Karl Lagerfeld elevated the aesthetics of runway and style by creating Chanel Airlines. The airport terminal themed show gave us a taste of what it takes to fly first class in style! Chanel Fashion Show SS16 Chanel SS16 Look 50 Models walked down the terminal aisle carrying Chanel Luggage, Bags and accessories from the current collection. The collection featured 80’s leisure jackets, tri-color cashmere sweaters, and tracksuits through the eyes of what Lagerfeld says “the idea of how it should look”. Chanel Cruise 2015

Our fav Puerto Rican glamazon, Joan Smalls is the face of the new Chanel Cruise 2015 ad campaign. Originally presented in Dubai, the collection was shot by Uncle Karl Lagerfeld.  Joan is photographed wearing patterned looks from the cruise collection, which is said to be inspired by orient romanticism. The campaign also features Hudson Kroenig, (Karl's godson) and the son of model, Brad Kroenig. There has been a bit of controversy surrounding this editorial as Hudson's presence seems unnecessary; almost like he is a prop. Although we will always love Chanel, it definitely doesn't give us a "romantic" feel. What are your thoughts dolls and gents?
